The Dawson Team Does It Again–In Style!
If there were an Olympic event for businesses demonstrating unique and meaningful ways to show how much they appreciate their clients and customers, the Dawson Team would be the gold medal winner, hands down.
As a way to thank his friends and clients for their support and referrals, Danny Dawson hosted an exclusive comedy night for them at The Laugh Lounge, Ottawa’s newest comedy club at 61 York Street. The Laugh Lounge is the realization of comedian Nick Burden’s dream of opening a venue where newcomers, as well as Canada’s top comedic talent, can share the stage in an intimate setting in the heart of Ottawa’s Byward Market.
This invitation-only engagement featured Burden, as well as Jarrett Campbell and Patrick Hakeem, headliners well-known in the world of Canadian comedy. And best of all, this was a completely gratuitous evening, with Danny Dawson picking up the tab, including a free drink for everyone in the house.
At MarmiT Creations we are always looking for new ways to help businesses engage with their customers and clients, and more importantly, to maintain those connections over time. We look at the Dawson Team as the model for that approach to building customer and client relationships. Last year this event was held virtually over Zoom, and that was an unforgettable experience. This year’s live event was the first taste of freedom for most people, unencumbered by restrictions and masks, after two years of waves and lockdowns. It was just what we needed as we begin to return to some sense of normal.
The packed house at The Laugh Lounge enjoyed a laugh-filled, entertaining evening in the Byward Market which, by the way, was buzzing at 10:00 pm on a Friday night, just like old times. It is good to see the city coming back to life.
